Biography

Mónica Jover's work is primarily structured through painting, with a strong emphasis on color. Over the years, her artistic evolution has led her to look back at her origins, a process that has guided her towards incorporating new techniques and materials into her current artistic research. Her works reveal a strong influence of textiles and the use of thread as a central element. Initially, thread appeared subtly as a complement to the painting itself, but later it became an independent component, materializing into expanded painting. Her deeply introspective artistic practice explores the nature of being through pieces that connect with an intimate landscape of nature, inviting reflection on the conscious construction of the self.
