CACHETEJACK debuts SELTZ WALLS, urban art program at the gallery

April 23, 2025

SELTZ by Ritter Ferrer opens its doors with a vibrant artistic intervention by CACHETEJACK – illustrators Nuria Bellver and Raquel Fanjul based in Valencia and London – in a unique corner of the gallery.

An explosion of color, humor and social criticism

Unveiled during the gallery’s opening, the mural is an explosion of color, humor, and bold messages—hallmarks of CACHETEJACK’s work. Their creations have traveled the globe through publications, collaborations, and murals for renowned brands and media outlets such as The New York Times, Hermès, Google, and Nike. Their fresh, critical, and irony-laden style has made them one of the most distinctive and celebrated voices in contemporary illustration.

An ephemeral project in a transit space

What makes this project special is not only its authorship but also its ephemeral nature. Creating a mural intervention on an interior wall of the gallery breaks away from the traditional concept of the white-cube exhibition space, bringing the free and vibrant language of the streets into a different—but equally alive—context. Located in a high-traffic area of the gallery—the hallway leading to the restrooms—the piece interacts with the public in a casual and intimate way, becoming part of the architectural and social experience of the space.

SELTZ WALLS: bridges between urban and contemporary art

This mural also marks the launch of SELTZ WALLS, a new parallel program created by SELTZ to give visibility and value to urban artists within the gallery setting. The initiative aims to build bridges between street art and contemporary creation, offering walls, corners, and unconventional spaces to artists like CACHETEJACK, who challenge standard formats and narratives.
