SELTZ participates in “The Collector is Present” Barcelona Gallery Weekend 2025

From May 8 to 10, The Collector is Present returns—Barcelona Gallery Weekend’s program that fosters dialogue between collectors and gallerists through shared activities in galleries across the city.

On May 9 at 6:00 PM, SELTZ by Ritter Ferrer welcomes the esteemed curator, collector, cultural manager, artist, and critic Rafael Doctor Roncero, in conversation with José Luis Pérez Pont, to share his unique perspective on collecting. Collecting as a creative act

Doctor Roncero’s collection—one of the most significant photography collections in Spain—comprises over 60,000 images, ranging from historical anonymous works to masterpieces by Nadar, Le Gray, and Clifford, as well as contemporary artists such as Pipilotti Rist, Bernard Plossu, and Cristina García Rodero.

Los Doscientos: An Inclusive Approach to Collecting

Since 2014, Doctor has led this editorial project that democratizes access to art through limited-edition books featuring original works, created for a community of 200 members.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to closely explore editions of Los Doscientos and selected pieces from Doctor Roncero’s private collection.
