Ivan Forcadell transforms the Museu Picasso with Astisora as part of Barcelona Dibuixa 2025

October 15, 2025

El artista invita a redescubrir el dibujo desde la intuición y la libertad en una acción participativa en el Museu Picasso Barcelona.

Gesture as language

On October 18 and 19, the Museu Picasso Barcelona will become a space for shared creation thanks to Astisora, the proposal by artist Ivan Forcadell. As part of Barcelona Dibuixa 2025, Forcadell invites the public to leave behind conventional instruments and to draw “like butchers, tailors, seamstresses, or like Matisse did.”

In this way, the museum space becomes a place of open experimentation, where each participant contributes their gaze and energy to a collective artwork — a process-centered experience of shared creation.

An open celebration of drawing

Barcelona Dibuixa 2025 is a major celebration of drawing that takes over the city for a weekend, connecting museums, institutions, and artists.
With the support of the Museu Picasso, MNAC, DHub, and MACBA, this initiative brings together activities for all audiences, promoting drawing as a universal language and a tool for expression.

Astisora: collective creation at the Museu Picasso

Throughout the weekend, Astisora will transform the Knowledge and Research Center of the Museu Picasso into a living workshop. Each participant will contribute their vision and energy to a collective work, where the process matters as much as the result.
Saturday, October 18, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, October 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

An invitation to participate

With Astisora, Ivan Forcadell continues to expand his artistic practice into the realms of participation, play, and shared emotion.
His proposal dialogues with his exhibition work at SELTZ, where gesture, material, and imagination also act as vehicles of connection between art and life.
