An acquisition from a gender perspective
The Institut Valencià d’Art Modern (IVAM) has added Espacio hilado en verde by Mónica Jover, an artist represented by SELTZ, to its collection as part of its latest acquisition campaign focused on female artists.
This acquisition reinforces the museum’s commitment to gender perspective and the revaluation of traditional techniques linked to Valencian crafts and intangible heritage.
A work woven with memory
Espacio hilado en verde is an example of how the artist transforms thread into a vehicle for contemporary expression, maintaining a deep connection with the material and emotional memory of the region.
This acquisition is part of a collection of sixteen works created by fourteen women, including historical figures such as María Blanchard and Olga Sacharoff, leading figures of the 1970s, and artists linked to the current Valencian context.

In addition, we are excited to announce that Mónica Jover will have a solo exhibition at SELTZ by Ritter Ferrer during the upcoming season. This is a unique opportunity to explore in depth the textile and pictorial universe of an artist whose career continues to gain institutional recognition.
